The Iowa Hawkeyes host Michigan in Big Ten action tonight. Iowa coach Todd Lickliter says the Wolverines are similar to his team in adjusting to a new coach. Lickliter says Michigan is probably going through the same thing as his team in getting to know one another and learning that in this league it’s going to take your best effort to be successful.

Lickliter says the Wolverines will be a little different from the first meeting that Iowa won 68-60 in Ann Arbor. He says they are probably playing more man-to-man defense and less zone. Lickliter says they’re just trying to do what the coach has always done and do it well. With an 11-14 record, the postseason prospects for Iowa aren’t very good. Lickliter was asked if there’s a mark he’s set for the team to wrap up the season.

Lickliter says in some years you look at February and look at a bigger picture, but he says where they’re at now they’re still trying to commit to playing the game a certain way. "And I think our goal should be to play the game the right way," Lickliter says. Iowa is 4-8 in the Big Ten, while Michigan is 2-9 in the conference and 6-17.
