In case you never got to see it in theaters, the true story of the Norway (Iowa) High School baseball team is coming out this spring on DVD. Producers of the Iowa made movie "The Final Season" have announced that April 8th will be the date when the DVD version of the movie will be released.
The movie starring Sean Astin, Powers Boothe and Tom Arnold was released in theatres last October. It follows the final year of the Norway High School baseball team in 1991 and the district merger that followed. Since its release The Final Season has grossed over $988,000. The movie received mixed reviews from the critics.
