Funeral set for Kingsley soldier

The funeral is this week for the soldier from the northwest Iowa town of Kingsley who was killed in Iraq last Sunday. Army Specialist Chad Groepper, who had been in Iraq since April of last year, died of combat injuries northeast of Baghdad. He was 21 years-old.

The funeral  will be Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Kingsley-Pierson High School. Burial will be in Kingsley Cemetery. Groepper enlisted in the Army after graduating at mid-term from Kingsley-Pierson High School in December of 2004. The Johnson-Earnest Funeral Home of Kingsley is in charge of arrangements.
