One person was killed, eight hurt, when an S-U-V crashed last night near Webster City. The Iowa State Patrol reported the name of the fatality as the passenger of the vehicle. She is identified as 34-year-old Maria Guadalupe Avila of Waterloo. Avila was the passenger in a 1994 Toyota Four Runner driven by Ana Lilia Avila de Rodriquez, also of Waterloo.

The De Rodriquez vehicle was heading eastbound on Highway 20 when it lost control, traveling into the east ditch and then rolled over. The others injured in last night’s accident were: the driver, Ana Lilia Avila de Rodriquez, 35-year-old Reynald Rodriquez Morales, nine-year-old Elizabeth Dominguez, five-year-old Leslie Dominguez, 14-year-old Adriana Rodriquez, eight-year-old Ernesto Rodriguez, eight-year-old Reynaldo Rodriguez, Junior, and five-year-old Enrique Rodriquez, all from Waterloo.

All of the passengerss were taken to Hamilton Hospital for treatment. The accident remains under investigation.
