Pizza delivery driver shoots man who tried to rob him

Kenneth Jimmerson A pizza delivery man says it was a case of shoot or be shot, as he defended himself with a gun. The unidentified delivery man was taking a pizza to the second floor of an apartment building about 10:40 last night when he says a man with a gun tried to rob him.

The delivery man told police he pulled his own gun and fired, hitting the would-be robber. Police and an ambulance were called and 19-year-old Kenneth Jimmerson was rushed to the hospital, where he’s reported in serious condition.

Melanie Stout He’s charged with first-degree robbery and will be taken to jail after he’s released from the hospital. Also, Jimmerson’s fiancee, 18-year-old Melanie Stout, is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. The delivery man was questioned and not charged.
