Marshalltown child remains in critical condition after fire

The child who was rescued from a burning central Iowa home earlier this week is still struggling for survival. Reports earlier in the day indicated a Marshalltown youngster died from injuries sustained in a house fire on Monday, but now officials with Blank Childrens’ Hospital in Des Moines say the child, 14-month-old Kevin Stackhouse Junior, remains in the hospital in critical condition.
