UNI hopes to build on 3-0 conference start

The UNI baseball team opens a Missouri Valley Conference series Friday night at Indiana State. The Panthers are 3-0 in the league race after sweeping Evansville this past weekend.

UNI assistant coach Marty Sutherland who says the Panthers should have some added confidence after a successful opening weekend. He says Evansville is having a rough year at 3-3 to start, but he says you can’t just go in and expect a sweep. The Panthers have won nine out of the last ten games.

The teams will play single games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
