UNI may use different format for Spring game

April 25, 2008 By admin

UNI football coach Mark Farley may use a different format for the Panther’s spring game on Saturday. In past years there has been a draft with the hopes of having a competetive game. This weekend Farley may let the starters play together.

Farley says he’s leaning toward having the number ones go against the rest of the team. He says last weekend he thought about drafting teams, but says that’s still up in the air. Farley says he wants to do it differently to get the top team working together, especially on the offensive line, where they have new linemen. He also wants the quarterback to get some work behind the top line.

The Panthers are coming off an unbeaten regular season in 2007 much of which they spent as the nation’s top ranked team.
