Reward offered for information in death of Mystic man

May 13, 2008 By admin

The slaying late last month of a 52-year-old Appanoose County man is still unsolved and his relatives are begging for the killer to surrender. In an emotional plea Monday afternoon, the family of Charles Deatsch again asked for the public’s help in arresting the person or persons responsible for the man’s death.

The Mystic man was killed two weeks ago at his home. Sara Richardson, the man’s daughter, pleaded with whoever committed the crime to come forward, tearfully saying, "When he died that night, we lost so much more than a husband and a father." Another $10,000 in reward money is being added for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.
