Name released in fatal O’Brien County farm accident

May 16, 2008 By admin

Authorities in northwest Iowa have released the name of an elderly man who was killed in a farm accident this week. O’Brien County Sheriff Michael Anderson says a rural mail carrier reported a man under a farm tractor about eleven o’clock Wednesday morning.

Authorities say 81-year-old John Vanden Hull of Archer was driving a tractor pulling a rotary hoe when the tractor rolled. Vanden Hull was taken to the Sheldon Hospital by Primghar ambulance and then transferred to a Sioux Falls hospital where he died.
