A central Iowa man will spend over a dozen years behind bars for robbing banks in Des Moines and Council Bluffs. Forty-two-year-old John Paul Reynolds of Indianola has been sentenced to 12-and-a-half years in a federal prison, followed by two years of supervised parole.

This past January Reynolds pled guilty to robbing the United Credit Union in Council Bluffs on November 14, 2006, and then robbing the Federal Employee’s Credit Union in Des Moines six days later. At his sentencing, Reynolds was ordered to pay nearly $18,000 in restitution.
