Decorah teen charged after bomb threat

May 21, 2008 By admin

A northeast Iowa teen is in trouble with the law after allegedly threatening to blow up his school. A Decorah teenager has been referred to juvenile court services after the investigation into a bomb threat at Decorah High School.

Decorah police say 16-year-old Jacob Erickson was charged with false reports and threats, both felonies. Authorities say the written threat was found at three P.M. last Thursday and stated the threat was to occur the next day. Police say no incendiary device was actually placed in the school.
