DMACC prepares for NJC World Series

May 23, 2008 By admin

The Des Moines Area Community College baseball team is in Tennessee for tomorrow’s start of the National Junior College division two World Series. It is the Bear’s first trip to the World Series since 1982 and they will take on Louisiana State University-Eunice in Saturday night’s opening round.

First-year coach Dan Fitzgerald says LSU will try to run, but they will try to stop them. He says despite scoring 589 runs this season the Bears’ offense will get a challenge, as they have a couple of great arms.

DMACC is 48-16 on the season.
