Waterloo boy hospitalized after being found in pool

June 5, 2008 By admin

A two-year-old boy is hospitalized following a swimming pool accident in Waterloo. Police say the child nearly drowned in a pool at a registered in-home daycare. Rescuers were called to the west-side home Wednesday afternoon on a report of an unresponsive child found in the pool.

When emergency crews arrived, they found people at the home performing CPR on the child in an effort to revive him. The child was taken a Waterloo hospital, and later was flown to University Hospitals in Iowa City. Police continue to investigate the accident. The child’s name and condition haven’t been released.
