At least three Iowans were killed in traffic crashes Sunday. An 11-year-old girl from Cedar Falls died in a two-vehicle crash in Waterloo at around 7 p.m. Jessica Johnson was a passenger in a car that was hit by a mini van.

Authorities believe the driver of the mini van, 30-year-old Paul Knudsen of Cedar Falls, failed to yield at a stop sign. In addition to the fatality, a total of 11 people were injured in the crash, including seven children.

One person was killed in single vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Jones County. Investigators say 32-year-old Sunny Dodson of Wyoming, Iowa was ejected from the vehicle. Thirty-eight year old David Stafford of Wyoming was injured.

It’s not clear yet who was driving the car, which rolled off Highway 64 east of Anamosa. Another one car crash in Linn County early Sunday killed a young woman from Cedar Rapids. The victim is identified as 22-year-old Blair Elizabeth Burke.
