Zach Johnson says injury is temporary setback

June 24, 2008 By admin

Zach Johnson expects to be healthy enough to take part in next month’s John Deere Classic near the Quad Cities. The former Masters’ champion withdrew from the Travelers Championship this past weekend due to a strained left wrist. He will also miss this week’s Buick Open in Michigan.

Johnson says it’s a first-time injury that is a strain and he just needs to take some time off and is not worried about the injury. Johnson says he looks forwards to playing the John Deere Classic because it is close to his hometown of Cedar Rapids.

Johnson says his heart is always at home and he looks forward to going back. He says this was one of the very first tournaments he played in, and he holds it in high regard. The Deere Classic begins on July 10th.
