Final practice round prepares pros for John Deere Classic

July 9, 2008 By admin

The pros will get one final practice round in at the TPC at Deere Run before tomorrow’s start of the John Deere Classic near the Quad Cities. Former U.S. Amateur champion Matt Kuchar says the course will offer a good test.

Kuchar says it tests about every club, and the topography has a lot of undulation, and then you go along the river. He says it’s a fair course that tests everything from your driving irons to your short irons.

Kuchar says the players enjoy the large galleries that are an annual part of the tournament. He says it seems like the fans have a sense of pride about the tournament and their community.

Bubba Watson says the fans provide a great atmosphere for the tournament. He says the fans support it, and they understand the game of golf and support the game and are courteous.
