Fundraiser honors memory of fallen Boy Scout

July 11, 2008 By admin

The generous nature of a young Iowan is being kept alive in a new fundraiser. The family of Aaron Eilerts of Eagle Grove is raising money to help rebuild the Little Sioux Scout Ranch that was damaged in last month’s tornado.

Eilerts was one of the four Boy Scouts killed in the June 11th twister. Eilerts’ parents helped design a t-shirt to help with the fund raising project. The t-shirts are lime green in color and features a purple print of an eagle. The cost for each t-shirt is $14 with $7 from each sale going to the Boy Scout Camp rebuilding project.

If you would like to order one, you may send a check for $14 to the Aaron Eilerts Service and Giving Foundation at 900 South Jackson Avenue in Eagle Grove, IA 50533.
