Decorah Viking says he’ll be a Hawkeye

September 3, 2008 By admin

Decorah high school standout Brett Van Sloten says he will play football at the University of Iowa. Van Sloten made a verbal commitment to the Hawkeyes last night. Sloten says he thought the Iowa coaches made him feel at home for each visit, and they recruited him the hardest.

Van Sloten says he is glad to have the decision out of way and will allow him to look forward to his senior year in high school and focus on being a Decorah Viking this year and an Iowa Hawkeye after that.

Van Sloten says Iowa has been talking to him about playing left tackle.
