September 8, 2008 By admin

A Sunday fire gutted a dwelling in north-central Iowa. Fire departments from four area communities assisted the Alden Fire Department early yesterday morning at a fire the destroyed an apartment building. Crews from Buckeye, Dows, Iowa Falls and Williams were called in to battle the fire.

The fire started at around one in the morning. Fortunately no one was living in the apartments and no one was injured. Authorities are terming the fire as suspicious in nature. The State Fire Marshall has been called in to investigate the Alden fire today.
