Drake hopes to improve offense this week

September 12, 2008 By admin

The Drake Bulldogs will be looking for an improved offense when they host William Penn. The Bulldogs are coming off a 19-0 loss at Lehigh and coach Chris Creighton says the Bulldogs must find a way to start moving the ball.

Creighton says they have to give the defense some hope, and were able to do that in the Upper Iowa game, but last week couldn’t even do that with first downs. Creighton says the Drake defense needs to be ready for William Penn’s option attack.

He says any time you face an option team, you have to be ready and assignment sound, especially when you don’t see it all the time. Both teams are 1-1.
