Four teens charged with kidnapping in Marion

September 15, 2008 By admin

Four eastern Iowa teenagers are facing kidnapping charges for an attack on a man from Marion Sunday. Police were called to St. Luke’s Hospital late Sunday afternoon to meet with 18 year old Joseph Darden. The Marion man told officers he was forced into a car and taken to a house in Cedar Rapids earlier in the day.

He said the suspects assaulted him for several hours because of a disagreement over a financial debt. Late Sunday, officers executed a search warrant at a Cedar Rapids home and arrested four teens – identified as Andrew Castro, Abraham Johnson, James Kummerfeldt and Nicholas Madison.

All four teens were taken to the Jones County Jail on charges of first-degree kidnapping. Madison is also facing charges that include manufacturing marijuana and possession of prescription medication.
