Pitt coach says solving Iowa defense will be tough

September 15, 2008 By admin

The Iowa Hawkeyes take a 3-0 mark on the road to take on the University of Pittsburgh. The Panthers are 1-1 and did not play this past weekend. Coach Dave Wanstedt says the Hawks are a solid team with a staff that has been together for several years and have been successful.

Wanstedt says solving the Iowa defense won’t be easy as he says they haven’t given up a touchdown in three games, which he says is "outstanding" no matter who you play. He says the Hawkeyes will offer a physical challenge.

Wanstedt says the size of the linemen in the Big 10 are one of the things that separates them from other conferences, and he says it will be a challenge for the team.
