Estranged husband charged with killing Des Moines woman

September 20, 2008 By admin

The estranged husband of a woman who was killed on Interstate 235 in Des Moines last week is now charged with her murder. Fifty-two-year-old Randy Lee Davis was arrested at his home on Friday – eight days after Michele Davis’ car crashed in rush hour traffic. An autopsy revealed she had been shot in the head.

A police spokesperson said investigators based the arrest on witness statements and other evidence. Earlier this week, police asked for the public’s help in linking a red Ford F-150 pickup to the crime. That color and style of truck was parked outside Randy Davis’ home. He is now charged with first-degree murder.
