Show featuring Denison native Reed released on CD

October 6, 2008 By admin

Fans of a late actress with western Iowa roots will soon be able to see her long-ago TV show. This fall marks the 50th anniversary when ABC Television presented the Donna Reed Show starring the Denison native. The show ran for eight seasons as it followed the adventures of Reed and her family.

Reed died in January 1986 at the age of 64. New audiences can enjoy the Donna Reed Show, thanks to DVD. To mark the show’s anniversary, the first season of the show will be coming out on DVD on October 28th.

Arts Alliance America will release the four-disc set featuring all 37 episodes starring Donna Reed. If sales are up on this first volume, then get ready for more DVD releases starring Iowa’s own Donna Reed.
