Marshalltown school locked down for a time

Law officers were scrambled to a central Iowa school Wednesday. One person was detained for questioning after a lockdown at Marshalltown High School on Wednesday afternoon. The incident was reported to police around 3 P.M. Classes had already been dismissed.

The lockdown was initiated after it was reported someone had entered the school with a weapon. A search was conducted of the building and students who were still on school grounds. No injuries were reported. No weapon was found.
