Waterloo man charged with burning child

Independence police have arrested a Waterloo man for allegedly causing burns on a young child. Thirty-three-year-old Jerrimy Daman was arrested Wednesday and charged with child endangerment resulting in serious injury, and willful injury.

Daman was arrested following an investigation into the abuse of a 15-month old child. Authorities were notified by medical personnel on August 29th that a child received third-degree burns. Daman is being held in the Buchanan County Jail in Independence on a $100,000 bond.
