Few details being released in Marshall County fatal shooting

The Marshall County Sheriff has released names of the two victims and the suspect in a fatal shooting Friday afternoon north of Marshalltown on Highway 14. The Sheriff’s department says 24-year-old Jessica Dawn Deemer of Waukee and 24-year-old Bryce Lee Mercer of West Des Moines died in the shooting.

The suspect is 27-year-old Kyle Gene Deemer of West Des Moines, who is being held in Marshall County. Kyle Deemer is charged with two counts of first-degree murder. No other details on the shooting are being released.
