An Indianola woman, who was arrested for having sex with a 15-year-old boy, is facing more charges for allegedly renewing the relationship last week. Police originally arrested 37-year-old Shannon Rew on September 18th and charged her with 12 counts of sexual abuse.
Rew’s mother notified authorities of her daughter’s apparent relationship with a teenage boy, when she found explicit photos and messages on a cell phone. Rew bonded out of jail. Last week, the boy’s mother called police saying she found another cell phone containing text messages from Rew to her son.
The boy admitted to police that he had sex with Rew in her van on October 16th. Rew is now charged with another count of sex abuse and violation of a no-contact order. Rew worked at a child care center in Indianola for seven years, before she was fired following the first arrest.
