Davenport man arrested for exposing himself to students

October 23, 2008 By admin

A Davenport man is charged with exposing himself to female high school students. Davenport Police say they received numerous complaints in the past month of a man exposing himself to female students as those students walked home from school in the afternoon.

Officers set up patrols in the areas where they’d received reports of the exposure, and were able to respond quickly when a new report came in. Police used a description of that suspect to get a warrant and arrest 50-year-old Jay Allen Griffen on two counts of indecent exposure.

Police say they are looking for other victims of exposure to see if those crimes might also be linked to Griffen. Griffen was booked a the Scott County Jail and released on bond.
