UNI goes on the road to Youngstown State

October 24, 2008 By admin

The UNI Panthers will play four of their final five games away from home beginning with tomorrow’s visit to Youngstown State. Redshirt freshman Zach Davis is expected to start at quarterback after Pat Grace was injured in last week’s victory over North Dakota State.

UNI coach Mark Farley says they are going to find out the character of their football team by going on the road with a new quarterback. He says there are guys who have to perform, and they will find out how they handle a little adversity.

Youngstown State has struggled this season and has made numerous changes. That has the Panthers wondering what they will see. Farley says they could end up seeing something totally different than what they expect.

Farley says Youngstown State wants to play a physical style. He says they’ve had struggles, but are still a power team and this is their homecoming game, so they will be ready. UNI is 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
