"Mad Money" tapes show at U of I

November 13, 2008 By admin

A national cable TV program that airs on C-N-B-C was recorded at the University of Iowa on Wednesday. The show "Mad Money" was taped in front of a cheering group of students gathered on the Iowa City campus.

"Mad Money" host Jim Cramer spent a few minutes of the show reviewing his long-standing opposition to ethanol. Cramer told the students — and his national TV audience — that he prefers natural gas as a fuel.

Cramer also said he hopes a "natural gas state" will lead off the 2012 presidential nominating season rather than Iowa’s Caucuses. During the entire show, the University of Iowa’s logo was featured on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, just above the running "crawl" of stock prices.
