Newell man dies in accident

December 1, 2008 By admin

An elderly northwest Iowa man was killed in a weekend crash that injured two teen brothers. Authorities say the accident occurred at 5:55 P.M. Saturday at the intersection of 250th Street and 650th Street in rural Buena Vista County when a pair of vehicles collided.

Eighty-year-old Donald Galbraith of Newell was killed in the collision and authorities determined he was not wearing a seat belt. Eighteen-year-old Robert Devereaux and his brother, 14-year-old Thomas Devereaux, both of Fonda, were treated for minor injuries.
