Cedar Falls police are hoping a $5,000 reward will help them solve a string of recent bank robberies in the city. The latest occurred just before noon today at a Wells Fargo Bank branch near College Square Mall, the fourth such hold up in less than a month.

One heist occurred Saturday morning at a credit union. The others took place November 6th and 18th at separate downtown banks, each a block from the police station. Investigators say there are similarities between today’s robbery and the others.

In each case, a man passed a note to a teller demanding money.Cedar Falls banks and the FBI are funding the reward.
