Iowa women looking for some confidence

Iowa women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder says her team could use a shot of confidence right now. The Hawkeyes are 4-3 and have dropped two straight games, including a 34 point loss to third rated California at the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands.

Bluder says it’s not at the highest level, she says anytime you lose a game that way, it hurts your confidence a little bit. Things don’t get much easier as the Hawks will next visit 13th ranked Duke on Thursday night in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Bluder says the Hawks need to cut down on turnovers.

Bluder says that is their achilles heel right now, and it allows the other team to score easily.
