Iowa ticket office prepares for bowl game orders

December 5, 2008 By admin

Officials in the University of Iowa ticket office are preparing for a busy week as they get set to handle ticket orders from fans who want to follow the 8-4 Hawkeyes to a bowl game.

The most likely destinations are the Outback Bowl in Tampa and the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio. The announcement will be made late Sunday afternoon after which fans can order their tickets on-line or over the phone.

U-of-I ticket manager Pam Finke says the applications will be available Sunday after the announcement. You can call 1-800-IA-Hawks to order tickets over the phone. Finke says they are hoping there’s a lot of interest in returning to a bowl game after Iowa stayed home last year.

Finke says the office will be open two hours after the announcement to handle any questions or take orders. Finke says by purchasing tickets through the university that will go towards the school’s allotment. She says depending on which bowl they go to, they are “on the hook” for a certain number of tickets. Finke says they are hopeful that fulfilling the allotment won’t be a problem.
