Northern Iowa man dies in farm accident

December 9, 2008 By admin

A northern Iowa man was killed in a farm accident in the rural Burt area.

Kossuth County Sheriff Paul Gronbach identifies the victim as 50-year-old Kent Haberger who was involved in an accident with a farm tractor and a square bale. The sheriff says it appears Haberger was trying to move a large corn stalk bale with a tractor loader when the bale slid back pinning him against the tractor.

The accident happened Monday during the noon hour.
