Iowa junior running back Shonn Greene received his biggest post-season award, being name the winner of the Doak Walker Award last night in Orlando, Florida. The award is given annually to the nation’s top running back.

Greene set a single season Hawkeye rushing mark and helped lead the Hawks to an 8-4 record and a trip to the Outback Bowl. He has already been named a first team All-American and the Big Ten Conference most valuable player.

Michigan State’s Javoin Ringer and Georgia’s Knoshown Mareno are the other finalists.
