ISU takes on VMI Saturday

December 19, 2008 By admin

The Iowa State men return from final exams on Saturday night to host a Jacksonville State team that is coached by former Cyclones assistant James Green. The Cyclones are 6-3 while Jacksonville State is off to a 6-2 start, including an impressive road win at UMASS.

Iowa State coach Greg McDermott says the win that really got his attention was the victory over VMI by 28 points. The same team that won big over Kentucky. McDermott says the Cyclones will have their hands full as VMI is very balanced, scoring 80 points a game.
