Northeast Iowa hit heaviest by snow

December 19, 2008 By admin

Some of the heaviest snow in this latest winter blast fell around Waterloo. Parts of northeast Iowa, including Oelwein, got ten inches of snow overnight and this morning, snow that’s now blowing and drifting.

Travel is not advised in Fayette County due to the reduced visibility due to blowing snow. Even snowplows have been ordered off the roads until the situation can be better assessed.
