Boone County Attorney Jim Robbins has completed his review of the shooting by police that resulted in the death of Seth Miller of Boone on November 23rd. In this case, Robbins says "reasonable force" was used by the officers involved.

Robbins says the evidence shows officers made repeated requests for over 20 minutes for Miller to put his weapon down.  He says it was only after Miller moved to have an unobstructed view of Captain John Sloter and aimed his weapon at Sloter that the officers fired their weapons.

Besides Sloter, Boone officer Dave Powers, and Boone County Deputy Cole Hoffman were involved in the shooting and were on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
