The city of Cedar Rapids is continuing its flood recovery efforts by gathering input from residents this Saturday on how they would like to rebuild neighborhoods. The process is phase two of the River Corridor Redevelopment Plan which divides Cedar Rapids into three primary focus areas.

Tim Duszynksi is with the Institute of Cultural Affairs, the group running the event. He says the outcomes, or the ideas and recommendations that people have are gonna all be captured. Duszynski says the will break people into groups to talk about their ideas.

"There are no wrong answers. There are no silly things that will be said, but everything will be considered, " according to Duszynksi. Groups will contain a facilitator and no more than ten people. The information gathered at Saturday’s event will be used in future community meetings. Recommendations will be presented to the city council in May.
