Iowa women visit Illinois

January 14, 2009 By admin

The Iowa Hawkeye women return to action with a visit to Illinois on Thursday night. The Hawks are coming off a lopsided win against Minnesota which snapped a three-game losing skid.

Iowa coach Lisa Bluder says they need to find some way to "roll that up in a ball" and take it with them. The Hawkeyes are taking on an Illinois team that is 0-6 in conference play. Bluder says they have to be prepared to play with the same focus and intensity that they did against Minnesota, and good things will happen.

The Hawkeyes are 2-3 in the Big Ten and 9-7 overall.
