Dubuque woman dies after fender bender

January 16, 2009 By admin

A minor fender bender at an icy intersection in northeast Iowa has led to a death. Dubuque county authorities say 22-year-old Lindsay Learman died Thursday morning after a series of crashes.

Learman was rear-ended by another vehicle as she was stopping at the intersection of John Deere Road and Highway 52. As she got out of her vehicle to talk to the other driver, she was struck by a third vehicle while walking on the road. Learman was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
