The UNI Panthers look to maintain at least a share of the Missouri Valley Conference lead on Saturday when the visit Drake. The Bulldogs are a game back in a three-way tie for third. After opening league play with a loss the Panthers have ripped off five straight wins and Wednesday’s victory at Evansville was their third on the road.

Drake coach Mark Phelps who says there’s no question the Panthers are playing well at both ends of the floor and on the road. He says they’re a poised team with a real purpose and understand their roles, which creates good team chemistry.

Phelps says the Panthers are extremely efficient in how they operate their offense. He says he didn’t see them early in the year when they had loses, but says they are playing as well as anyone in the MVC right now. It will be an early 11:00a.m. tip off in Des Moines.
