Late barrage of 3’s helps UNI win 11th straight

February 4, 2009 By admin

Johnny Moran’s three pointer with five seconds remaining capped a late rally as Northern Iowa beat Bradley 61-58, for the Panthers school record 11th straight win.

The Panthers trailed by eight with just under four minutes remaining but roared back, as Moran and Ali Farokhmanesh hit 5 of 6 three pointers in the final 3:25 of the game.

The win moves UNI to 11-1 in Missouri Valley Conference play, and keeps them on top of the conference. They are now 17-6 overall.
