June 8, 2009 By admin

A rural Manchester woman died in a horse-riding accident Sunday night. The accident happened at Fountain Springs Park in Delaware County about two miles northeast of Greeley.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office says 28-year old Stephanie Shipley died from severe injuries by the time they arrived at the scene. Shipley had been riding her horse and was making the horse run on the roadway when the horse lost its footing as it went around a corner and fell, landing on Shipley.
