Container company bringing 25 jobs to Webster City

June 9, 2009 By admin

After recent news Electrolux is eliminating 150 jobs at its Webster City factory next week, the north-central Iowa community got some good economic news on Monday. A Minneapolis based firm announced Monday that it’s ready to bring 25 new jobs to the community.

Cropland Containers Incorporated will be opening up in a former transfer facility on the west side of Webster City. The Cropland Container firm selected Webster City for its location due to its major transportation routes with Interstate 35 and Highway 20 in this area.

The company will clean and refurbish plastic containers that will be used to transport bulk containers, food products and similar materials. It is hoped the Cropland firm will open for business either later this year or in early 2010.
