Producers of Burlington film ask for businesses to donate promotional items

June 10, 2009 By admin

Producers of a film being shot in southeast Iowa are seeking promotional items from businesses to give out to extras. Shawn Diddy is handling the publicity for the movie "Splatter" which is directed by Lonnie Schuyler. Diddy says Schuyler worked on Melrose Place, Texas, Models Inc., but now lives in Iowa and wrote this film.

The film is about a paintball tournament where a "small town loser" tries to win back his ex-wife. Diddy says there are some 250 extras who will be the crowd for the shooting this weekend in Burlington, and they are asking Iowa businesses to donate items for them.

She says it’s a long day and they want to give the people some gifts to remember the day, and Diddy says it will also give the businesses some promotion.

Diddy says they are looking for any type of products your business would be willing to donate. She says t-shirts are great, or trip, or actual items and products produced in Iowa that can be given as gifts. She says dance lessons or restaurant or gas certificates would be great gifts.

Diddy says all donors and advertisers will receive statewide and national recognition in the promotion of the film and also a film credit for certain levels of gifts of products or services. Diddy says they will help you deliver the donations. She says they can give the person a certificate and they can pick up the gift, or they can help with the shipping.

Diddy says any business that might have what they’re looking for should contact her via e-mail. You can contact her at [email protected], or call 641-229-6166. Diddy says they will be shooting the scenes with the extras in Burlington Saturday and Sunday, so they would like to hear from businesses as soon as possible.
