Today is the postal deadline to enter a youth basketball team in next month’s Summer Iowa Games. Jim Hallihan, the executive director of the Iowa Games says youth basketball is one of the bigger team sports behind soccer.

The games include those from 4th through 12th grade, so they have to have the entries in to get the brackets worked out. If you miss the postal deadline you can still register on-line for another week.

Hallihan says all the teams that enter will compete in Ames on the 18th and 19th of July.
